Speaker/Presenter

Guidelines for Case Submission and Presenters Key Dates:
  • 21 February 2025: Clinical case submission opens.
  • 21 April 2025: Clinical case submission deadline.
  • 31 May 2025: Announcement of case submission results by emails.
Prepare Your Case Submission:
  • Your clinical presentation is based on a real case with unexpected complications as a result of interventional procedures and must provide important educational value.
  • A short title of the case followed by a 50 word-summary of the case.
  • Please use up to 5 key words to describe your case.
  • Your clinical history should be no more than 2 PowerPoint slides.
  • Your angiogram presentation should only include the relevant pictures/video to demonstrate how the complication happened and how it was managed.
  • If possible, limit the total angiogram movies to a maximum of 15.
  • Your total presentation time should not exceed 10 minutes: i.e. presentation of case history and development of complication about 4 minutes, and management of the complications should not exceed 6 minutes.
Presentation Formats:
  • All presenters will use PowerPoint slide.
  • The final slide should contain key take home messages: It could start with “If I were to do this case again…”. The presenter should discuss what could have been done differently to avoid such complications from happening.
Best “heart-stopping” complication case award:
  • Only Cardiologists below 40 years of age can enter this competition.
  • The Cardiologist was directly involved in this complication case.
  • The selected 5 top cases will be featured in an exclusive Award Session, chaired by senior faculty members.
  • Special “Heart-warming” prices for 1 winner (RM1500) and 1 runner-up (RM1000).
